So after getting back from vacation I have a heck of a time getting back in the program. Two or tree days I am doing good, then I get so frustrated when I don't see much progress that I fall off the wagon.
I have never tried any kind of daily charts - but I will try this. Can't do lifting right now so that slows my calorie burn and exercise is out of the question also for the time being.
I am starting today with 157.7, I have high cholesterol and should get down to 135. Docs idea. Let the battle continue.

Good luck on your journey and you shouldn't worry about exercising because Dr. Lewis says you don't have to, so I wouldn't worry about that you keep to the rules of the diet drink plenty of water and the fat and pounds start melting away  Very Happy bounce

This sucks!!!! 157.6
have been perfect yesterday. Lots of water and watered down coffee just with some Splenda. For lunch, around 4pm I had 5 bites of pork chop with mayo and the same for dinner. Those were even regular small bites not the big ones I had pictured myself making.
My body hates me and I hate my body.
Another day today. Let's see how it goes.

Daani don't be discouraged! That is probably just some water weight. And the pounds usually come off in intervals Wink
Be proud that you are doing it right to the point, that is some mental mastery, okay?
And no, your body doesn't hate you. Your body maybe the one thing that loves you the most in this universe. It wants nothing but good things to you, and why wouldn't it, because you are connected to each others survival.

I hope you get to a better place. Positive mind = positive life. Hugs to you!

@ beeonne thanks for the kind words. It' better today.

I am doing better today. The scale was nice to me. 156.2 this morning. I had yesterday 5 bites chicken and a couple of slices tomatoes. In the evening two small meatballs in bacon Alfredo sauce, was about 5 bites. Other then that just black coffee with Splenda sweetener. I don't like coffee black so much. I might try to add back some half & half again - tastes so much better.
Anyway, working on today. My biggest problem is getting up early and going to bed late. I sleep about 6 hours a night and that leaves a lot of time for being hungry. try to keep telling myself if I get this done for two weeks, just two weeks then I can take a couple of days to maintain and then go for whatever I have left to loose. My head is busy. Laughing

That was nice this morning. 155.2
It's also very surprising since I did not stick a 100% yesterday.
I had almost black coffee all day.
5 Bites chicken for lunch and it was an early lunch like around 1pm. Then I got so hungry that I had my 5 dinner bites around 5:30 already. Chicken meatballs in Alfredo sauce. That early dinner was very bad for me. About 10pm I got sooooo hungry and grumpy that I had another 5 bites of chicken and one bite of cheese.
I knew that diet wise it was bad for me but I just could not stand the hunger anymore. Even drinking water and coffee did not help.

So today is another day and I will do my best to have lunch after 3pm.

Today 155.2 no loss. Guess it's my own fault. Had coffee creamer in some of my many cups of coffee yesterday. Lunch and dinner was each 5 bites of chicken with mayo. My son keeps telling me it's not healthy. LOL

So today, so far so good. I am hungry but there are still many hours left till lunch.
It will be chicken again. It's so much easier to just eat the same every day. If I would not have to cook for the family my fridge would be empty. Laughing

Don't kick yourself and the scale to much your only human just get back up tomorrow it will be fine I have my ups and downs to. Insanity - you know cheese is one of the worst foods for us. To much salt, it retains water. I suffer with you.

So yesterday I did not post, I was busy and mad at the world.
The cheese did me 155.4 yesterday. I had gained. It was not much but grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Food wise I was very good yesterday Just had one cappuccino at the casino in the evening which was 150 calories.
But it did not do any damage. This morning I was 154.4. Finally under 155. I will do my best today. I don't know if it is allowed but I made some sugar free jello for just in case I starve to much.

153.4 I stepped on the scale twice just to be sure.
I had my 2x5 bites and two cups of sugar free jello. One between lunch and dinner and one after. I just get so hungry.
Anyway, I will work on skipping the jello but with 10 calories a portion it does not do much damage.

I know the weight loss will not be so good every day but I am enjoying it as long as it lasts.

So, here is another day Very Happy

Hmm, today 154.4. I am not happy but it has to be water weight.
Had some premade turkey meatballs yesterday, from the store, guess the ton of sodium is throwing me of.

I had some for lunch already today. It was an extreme early lunch. Guess it's going to be a Jello day today. There is no way I can go the next 10 hours with just 5 bites and then go to sleep.
I will let you know how it went.

keep going  Very Happy danni your doing great because your not giving up! i have been in your shoes having a super early lunch and dinner i didnt know how i was gonna get thru the rest of the day but i did and im almost at the 4 month mark of 5 biting . you weigh yourself daily danni? maybe you should due it once a week? and just keep doing your 5 bites 2x times a day and at the end of the week you can tally up your victory then? you have to have a mind strategy with this diet sometimes the scale plays tricks on your mind belive me i know.... Smile

Good morning. 153.8 this morning. I am ok with that.

Buffy you are right, I should weigh less often, it's driving me crazy. However I know it will be tough, so for starters
I figure I try to weigh every other day and see if I can live with that.

Yesterday with that early lunch was horrible. I had some Jello in the afternoon and then my dinner bites. Around
10:30 in the evening I got sooo hungry I had another couple of bites of chicken. Today I will have to push lunch for later, absolutely.

I sucked yesterday. My daughter came over around lunch time and I did pretty good till dinner. Then I had about 20 bites of chicken and crackers and to make things worse I had some cookies. My daughter likes cookies and she does not pay attention to her weight so I went right along. My "reward" this morning: almost one pound more on the scale. It's gonna be a rough two days to make up for it.

I do much better eating without company or just my husband and son around. My daughter comes over, eats whatever and it throws me off.

Sorry, I should not blame anybody but myself. I am not to the point where I don't care about food yet.

Well, another day.

I might just write this to myself, maybe. Not many people are left on here anymore.
It does get lonely and it's harder not hearing other peoples progress.
Anyway, there are sure days I get so fed up and I want to eat everything. But, what's it gonna help? Nothing!!!!!!!!!! I will still be overweight and unhealthy. Sure I struggle and not every day is a success but the important thing for me is that I don't give up.
I will get to goal, I might not make it there as fast as the good doctor thinks I should get there but that's okay. Everybody is different. Everybody has their own struggles an circumstances, some make it harder some easier.
Whoever you are that might read this. It's never to late to start getting a healthy weight.

Hello Daani. I have been constantly following your posts, and wish you great success. I know you can do it! I am now beginning week two of the diet, but am eating 3 bites 3 times a day. I need something to eat at breakfast time. I started at around 178 lbs. I'm not sure because I got so frustrated with weighing with disappointing results that I didn't weigh on day 1 (8/14), however I will weigh myself on Saturday morning because I feel a difference in my clothes. Tomorrow I will be burning a lot of calories, so I want to wait until Saturday to weigh. Just wanted to post that you are not alone. I'm here battling it with you. Hang in there!  Very Happy

Hey Danni I'm here I was spending QT yesterday with my hubby lol but I'm back I haven't forgot about my 5 bite buddy Very Happy. I know what you mean about eating extra bites when friends are family members are eating up a storm in front of you and you have a lot of extra bitesthat happened to me on the 4th and at my daughters baby shower but I didn't let it stop me for getting right back on it the next day and I didn't see any scale tragedy because I only weigh every 2 months lol so I know I have already taken care of those extra pounds if they were any. Danni just keep pushing ahead you got this! Very Happy

Yesterday was good. I stuck to the plan.
So far today I had some Jello and lots of coffee. I want to save my bites for later in the day because that is when I get the most hungry. It's looking good.
