l-2 bites lemon bar, 3 bites tortilla chips with rotel
d- 1 bite cheese dip, 1 bite beef taco, 3 bites chicken enchilada w/sour cream
Notes: This is really getting easier! I'm wrapping up day 5 of 100% compliance. I really do finally want to lose this weight more than I want that food. I have really had a mental breakthrough. Thanks to everyone for supporting me! I can't wait to get on the scale on Monday and the results. I'd like for it to be another 5 pounds down, but I think b/c of my PCOS my body just likes to hold on to weight and not give it up very easily. I think realistically I may be able to lose 1 pound every 2 days so if I have lost 3.5 to 4 pounds I will be happy. If not, I will isolate the problem and keep on going! : ))))

Re: Snow White's Journal
YES you definitely get into a swing and things get WAY easier. You kinda learn how to not focus so much on the next meal and just go with it. It is GREAT. Today is a cheat day for me since its my birthday (yay) cake and dinner- its actually making me kinda nervous cuz i havent eaten like a normal person in like 2 weeks. Ha i had a little bit of chicken just now to prepare my stomach so i dont have GI upset tomorrow from the massive change. Tomorrow is going to be perfect on the 5 bite diet!!!! i feel like getting off the diet makes me more uncomfortable than staying on it! WHooO!!! the weight will come off for both of us soon chicky keep going!

Notes: I'm feeling really good about the 5BD...I am really hoping for a 5 pound loss. I'm going to take a water pill in the morning and hopefully by Monday I will have lost 5 pounds...that would be really awesome! If not, I definitely feel smaller. My clothes are starting to get looser and maybe soon I'll be able to fit into a size 14 and on down from there! : )))) I am still having some pronounced symptoms from my PCOS and I know that the more weight I lose the better the symptoms will be. Wish me luck!

Notes: Well I wrapped up day 7 of 100% compliance! This was the hardest day this week, but I just have to keep my eye on the prize and remember that the extra bites are just not worth it. My weigh in is tomorrow morning and I am still hoping for a 5 pound loss. Wish me luck!

Weigh in Mon., Jan. 30th
190 lbs.!!!!!
I lost 4 pounds last week!!!!!! ; ))))))))
So here is my progress so far:
Starting Weight: 225 on Aug. 5th
Low Carb with no portion control and some elliptical training August 5th- Jan. 8th I lost 24 lbs. Yes, I survived a low carb Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season! That's 6 months of low carbing with only a 24 lb. loss!
Then I went on the 5BD:
Starting Weight: 201 on Jan. 9th
Week 1 loss: 5 lbs. (weight 196)--no exercise
Week 2 loss: 2 lbs. (weight 194)---I cheated big time this week and still lost 2 pounds.--no exercise
Week 3 loss: 4 lbs. (weight 190)--no exercise
So, I can see here from these last three weeks that the key is consistency. With no cheating even with my PCOS which makes it harder for me to lose weight I can still lose 4 to 5 pounds per week. We'll see if this holds! : ))))

That's a fantastic loss! You are doing a great job on this diet and I am assuming that you are enjoying this diet a bit more than the low carb. The baked spaghetti looks delish. i am soooo going to make it this week!

Thanks!
Thank you so much Tea & Jesabelle! The baked spaghetti was awesome! We will have the leftovers tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that. Yes, I am enjoying the 5BD better b/c it does give a lot more freedom and it is still pretty low carb no matter what you eat because of eating to little of it. Hopefully I can keep this going and get super skinny like I used to be! : )))))))

You are doing great Snow White! I also think that the baked spaghetti looks delicious. I have baked spaghetti before, but never with cream cheese. I am going to try this. Thanks for the recipe.

b- nothing
l- 4 bites beef taco, 1 bite Mexican rice
d- 4 bites baked spaghetti, 1 bite chocolate cake
nightcap
Notes: I measured my lunch on the Snickers template and used a 1/4 cup measure to portion out the baked spaghetti for my dinner, then I just ate the bite of cake w/out measuring it. Today marks my 9th day of 100% compliance...it truly is getting easier.
P.S. my dog has been lost for 3 days...please say a prayer that he will get home safe. We have had several calls on sightings of him and just haven't been able to catch him yet. I've done everything I can do: signs, called the pound, animal shelters, the police, facebook, craigslist, rescues. I really wanted to binge today because of this, but I didn't.

My dog is home safe!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your well wishes and prayers for my dog! We got him back tonight after 4 days on the run. He is going to the vet tomorrow to get checked out, but he seems fine...just really scared. I learned something from this by not turning to food for comfort, instead I turned to prayer and friends for comfort, turning to food for comfort doesn't work and I don't know why I used to do that. I'm so glad I was able to get through this crisis without sabotaging my progress.

I was just going to have a cheat day that day, but after what I just went through with my dog I think I can handle not going off plan for the Super Bowl.

Yay!!!! Your dog is back!!!!! I am so happy for you! You seem to have mastered the diet -its strange how we have cconditioned ourselves to go to food for comfort. When did that happen and why? When I was younger and I was upset i didn't eat, I could go days without food and then something changed and I did the opposite-I wonder if it's an age thing. Oh well, no worries for either of us now and you are doing super fantastic!!
