her name is koda, she is a golden retriever but she is 2 and a half now so unfortunately not still technically a puppy but she is my baby and a puppy in my eyes! hahha thanks for the support guys another day on plan don't have much to report i am just keeping on keeping on Smile hahaha weighed in today at 68.2 so another 600g off so that is awesome and my mamma noticed my weight loss today so i filled her in on our little secret she was pretty hesitant at first but she seemed to understand and make sense of it all by the end of our chat, not sure she will try it though but the thought crossed her mind for sure.. especially when she is seeing my results! Smile

b- coffee on skim milk
l- 5 bites chicken, avocado and sun dried tomato quiche
d- 5 bites of chicken and rice

one thing i have noticed is my bites have come back down to the right side, toward the start i was thinking my bites might have been a bit big but today i realised without noticing i brought them back down to size, so maybe on those first few days your body needs those slightly larger sized bites but as you get more adjusted it sorts itself out, just a thought Smile

how is everyones week going? getting closer to the weekend! yipeee

Hi Kaila

It's nice to see another Aussie on this forum Cool I'm in Brisbane as well.

Good luck on meeting your goals, you definitely seem to have the right mindset.
And congrats on giving away your half a coke zero, that stuff is addictive!

Hope you're having a great day

I love you Carlye

Sounds like you have been doing great! Keep on going!

I like to weight every day and I write it down whether I am on plan or not. When I'm on plan I can see a loss every single day and that helps keep me motivated to continue on. Since I restarted today, I can't wait to get on the scale tomorrow and see the loss!

Good luck on your journey! Very Happy

hey guys
sorry for the lack of posting i am still sticking with it on plan but ready to throw my scales out the window... i have been stuck on 66kgs for 3 days now and even though i am sticking to it i cannot go under (in fact the grams are going up and down and up again) so i have decided to try and skip my morning coffee with milk, try and do some exercise a day and hopefully i will get under asap Smile i know i can't be to hard on my self 66 is that weight that i always struggle to get passed so hopefully when i do it will be an impressive loss Smile

on plan so far today,, fitted in a workout and had about 3 litres of water Smile
although pretty nervous about dinner.. apparently i am having soup for dinner...HELP? does anyone know how to measure it or how much i am allowed?

eeep!
anyways will be checking in again soon!

The doc says to stay away From soup because its to thin and will not make you feel full maybe if you put a lot of bread in it so its not to thin sometimes the weight will drop a few lbs at one time after staying the same fur a while stay focused your doing great Very Happy

Stay motivated. A big woosh weight loss will probably come your way soon if you keep up with the bites. Soup is tricky and will probably just run right through you and leave you feeling hungry. Dmac suggestion is a good one or pack it with meat so that it is more stew than soup.

Great job so far.

1/3 cup for soup or yogurt

Soup is not recommended, but sometimes you just want soup. I love soup! If you're not losing check your carbs. Try eating a bite or two of carbs and more protein or veggies. I am very sensitive to carbs in pasta, rice, bread, etc. Or you could try having one meal a day where you eat low carb and then eat whatever you want for your other meal (5 bites of course!) and see if that helps. Exercise can cause your muscles to retain water which can effect the scale, too. Another thing is you could be retaining waste. Have you gone to the bathroom lately?

hey guys!

Thanks for your advice and support, i managed to escape the soup and had 5 bites of a chicken roll instead! As frustrating as it is i know that getting passed 66 is always a difficult on for me, my body tends to hold onto that weight longer then any other weight regardless.. so weird, normally i would tend to get upset about the scales not moving down so for now i am just going to avoid the scales for a few days and focus on sticking to my 5 bites and how much more comfortable my clothes are getting from my progress soon.. and hopefully it will pass soon Smile

Will update later on how my day goes, but hope you all have a good day

Xx

Getting so frustrated! Still at 66.5 doing everything right (except managing to stay away from the scales!) eating 5 bites, stopped my milk in the morning and workouts and drinking so much water to flush my weight down to 65 but nothing it just won't budge. I mean I SHOULD feel happy I know I feel lighter and my clothes aren't so tight but it's not making me as happy as the scales would! Grrr Sad has anyone else had a number on the scales that just won't budge ?

Help mee! I am getting so disheartened Sad

If you measured yourself when you started.. re measure.. you might be losing inches .. this happens to me from time to time.. I do no lose on the scale but my clothes are falling off? The only other thing I can suggest is to eat a full meal to shock your metabalism.. this is like zig zaging or calorie shifting.. it can stop a stall fast.. you would need to eat a good amount to shock it though and that can cause extreme hunger the next day.. so be ware of that!! Try not to stress so much.. you have done so well.. Very Happy

Too much rice, I think. One of your sushi rolls is probably a days worth of calories and carbs. Try switching up what you eat for your bites. Are you saying that you completely quit exercising? You are drinking a lot of water...you might want to try a water pill b/c you could still be retaining water. I like to post what I eat and my weight every day and this way I can which foods work better for me...but I'm not going to eat anything "diety." Also, have you been to the bathroom lately?

The last I heard from you, you were planning to eat sushi a lot. So, I don't know what you're eating. If you post your meals, maybe that could provide some insight. I'm not saying drinking water is bad, I'm just saying that you could be retaining water and a water pill may help. Also, if you're retaining waste that could be a problem, too. There is no reason why you shouldn't be losing close to a pound a day. I'm just trying to help you pinpoint the problem so you can get to where you want to be. How much weight have you lost in total? How long have you been on the diet? Have you been 100% perfect in your 5 biting? I have some other tricks/tips for you depending on your answers to these questions.

Hi Kaila

I hope you're able to bust through this plateau soon.
What are your sleep patterns like? There have been studies done where caloric intake remained unchanged, but they changed the amount of sleep, bedtimes and get up times of women and they all gained weight.
This is something I need to deal with myself, I go to bed at midnight, and even though I still get 7-8 hours sleep I wonder if it could be impacting my weight. I'm quite sure it is.

You are right saying the extra fluid you are drinking will help flush your system, I wouldn't resort to diuretics just to see the scales go down, unless you're a professional jockey or something Smile And there are all sorts of hormonal reasons you may be stalled. And if this weight is a set point for you, your body might take a bit of coaxing to move on down. Maybe try having 3 meals of three bites (still skip breakfast), drink green tea, increase exercise intensity but lower duration, water fast for a day, stop exercising for a week, avoid gluten, chill out and stop letting the scales be the boss of you Smile

Hope this helps

I have a plan for you if you like.. 1 tsp epsom salts in a glass of reduced calories orange juic.. drink it back.. but stay near a toilet as with in a few hours you will start to flush.. like you are on a cleans.. really flush.. but it will clear all extra water out and waste at the same time.. I do this once a week to feel fresh.. it works a charm.. Hope this helps!

Maybe Australian women don't retain water b/c your diet is more organic. We eat too much sodium here and most women I know take water pills. We think nothing about it at all. I'm not loving the comment made about "resorting to diuretics." Pretty rude from where I'm sitting. I would never directly contradict someone's advice especially when it's based on experience....not used to that here.

Snow white, perhaps you should have addressed these concerns in my diary seeing that I made them. I am more than willing to discuss it over there. My apologies if I offended you.

And sorry to Kaila if my comments offended you also.
