Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and the diet. I am still a little unsure what to do - 2x 5 bites or 1x 10 bites... I have been slowly reducing the number of bites over the course of the past week, but I hope to just eat 10 bites today. I was really hungry upon coming back from work at 2:30pm and had my first meal of 5 bites on homemade banana muffins. They are small, each muffin is about 2.5 bites. My husband is an awesome cook and he made a very delicious lasagna yesterday, so my last 5 bites (hopefully) will be that.

My starting weight is 151lbs, and I wish to lose 30lbs, to have a BMI of 18.5.

I am a binge eater, part of the reason why I chose to do the 5BD is to stop or reduce the binging. I wish to shrink my stomach. I am known to eat huge amounts of food at a time. I used to be quite proud of it, but now it just makes me feel depressed, cranky and tired. No more!

I was once a binge eater and now, after following this diet, if I overeat even a little I feel disgusted with myself for abusing my body & mind that way! I can proudly say that, although as of late I have eaten slightly larger portions than I'd like, (reasons are in my daily journal), I no longer consider myself and could no longer be diagnosed as a "binge eater." So there is light at the end of the tunnel!! I found it more beneficial to overcoming my BED (binge eating disorder), to eat at least 2x a day- each time I ate a certain amount of bites and stopped I retaught my brain that every time I eat isn't a binge, so each and every meal was a lesson to my brain and body, and every time it got easier to stop at my number of bites. It was a mental change as much as a physical. I'm cheering for you! Enjoy that lasagna  Very Happy
