Hello all,
I'm female, 5'3, and the last time I was bold enough to get on the scale...I weighed around 288lbs. I'm seeing a lot of post with those who are 145 or so and looking to drop a couple of pounds. I need to know who here is more like me. I'm not knocking anyones goal but I would love to have some accountability partners on this journey with me who have a significant amount of weight to lose as well.

Welcome!  We all have to lose the weight one bite at a time.  For some reason,the boards are not as active as they were last month.  So if you are just starting 5 bite, grab whatever encouragement and accountability you can.  More than the amount to lose is the fact that there is someone out there that is doing the same thing with a desire NOT to be overweight.

Thank you guys. I have noticed that there isn't much traffic on this site these days. Unfortunately, I don't have a Facebook page. Not big on social media so if you guys are going to be here with me, I'm willing to go along for the ride. As we all know, weight loss is difficult. I've been down this road way too many times; losing then gaining it right back plus some. I'm so sick of it and I have to make a life change. I plan to officially begin on June 12th because I'm doing as much research on this as I can. I see everyone saying the first 3 days are the worst so I'm strategically choosing my first 3 days to be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I won't have such a difficult work week and can be somewhat used to it by Monday morning. I know it will be hard but I'm gearing up for this change!

I will be here.  I don't know why it is not as active this month as last, BUT we have to continue being diligent.  I have recently started to read the facebook page for inspiration but do not want to be an active facebooker.  

When you need additional support feel free to read the journals of older 5 biters.  Or google any weight loss success stories and that usually helps me feel inspired to keep going.

My weight loss has been going great and I know the accountability from here has been a huge support.  So if there are only 2 or 3 active biters (and a bunch of lurkers) I will continue to post until I reach my goal.

Together we can do this!!!

I ended up getting sick and decided to start over today. My ultimate goal is to lose 100. I do plan to start walking a few miles beginning next week.

I would not exercise the first couple of days. Your body is busy adjusting but after that do what you can but not to much.

If you fall off the wagon. Just start over the next day and do not give up.
