Urrrmahgawd

I weigh 143.2lbs. I reset my scale, got on and off it a number of times. Same number.

WOW!

That is 9.8lbs lost by the beginning of my 6th day. I can't believe it! Oh why oh why did I not hear about the 5 bite sooner? LOL!

Morning: Coffee with cinnamon
Lunch: 2 bites of mackerel in coconut sauce and 3 bites of frozen banana peanut butter bites
Dinner: 1 bite of cooked collard greens and 4 bites of beef

The beef, in fact, felt like too much in my stomach. It could be because I don't often eat beef (my mom cooked it) or because my body is getting used to smaller portions. It could also be a mix of both. I'm going to see this in a positive light, that I can begin to take smaller bites, incorporate more veggies, and worry less about possible hunger. My body is starting to get used to this.

I'm looking forward to eating some more collard greens tomorrow! I miss my veggies (haven't eaten much of them since starting this 5BD in order to save bites on more calorie dense foods).

Water all day. Maybe a cup of tea before bed.

Alright, another day done!

It's getting easier and easier. I'm not even hungry around dinner time!

Morning: No coffee today. Just wasn't in the mood. Drank a cup of tea instead.
Lunch: 5 bites of collard greens with coconut milk mackerel.
Dinner: 4 bites of collard greens with coconut milk mackerel + 1 bite of beef.

Water and tea (chai, yerba mate, ginger lemon) throughout the day. It's getting a bit too cold for me to drink just water, so I drank mostly tea today. I will try to get in at least 2 more cups of water, if not 3, before bed. And if I can't, I'll at least have 2 more cups of tea in order to get in enough H20.

Today is the end of my first week (Day Cool, and my weigh in is 142.2lbs.

I have lost a total of 9.8lbs this week. I wonder what next week will bring!

Morning: Yerba mate

Dinner: 5 bites of cooked kale, carrots, and pork (all mixed together)

Water throughout the day. I'll probably make a cup of chai before bed.

Thanks Daani! I am proud, I mean, on a regular diet, it would take me at least a month, if not longer to achieve these kinds of results.

Morning weigh in: 141.4 lbs

Morning: Coffee
Lunch: 1 bite of hand pie filling (pork, leeks, kale) + 4 bites of a cornmeal hand pie that I made
Dinner: 3 bites of a cornmeal hand pie + 2 bites of a protein energy ball that I made (mashed banana, peanut butter, oats, ground chia seeds)

Today went well. My ability to take super large bites is dwindling, lol. My bite size is more natural at the moment, and I feel more than satisfied. I look forward to dinner not because of hunger, but because of interest in the dishes that I've prepared or plan to prepare.

I have a bunch of leftover protein energy balls for tomorrow. I'm sure they will make up my lunch. And dinner tomorrow? I used up the rest of the leftover meat and kale to make fritters. I may just eat some bites of those.

...going on pinterest to find more recipes lol.

Thank you beeonne!!

The following is for yesterday:

Weigh in: 141.4lbs

Morning: Water and a sip of coffee
Lunch: 4 bites of these protein balls I made + 1 bite of patty made from the leftover hand pie filling
Dinner: 1 bite of protein ball + 1 bite of fruit leather + 5 bites of a leftover patty

I ate 2 extra bites for dinner because I have been feeling a bit sick lately. I figured my immune system was a bit down from eating so little. I wasn't hungry. In fact, I felt full after 3 bites. The 7 bites left me with a bit of a stomachache, in fact. It wasn't fun.

Today, instead of adding extra bites, I'm just going to eat more fruits and veggies, especially those that are rich in Vitamin C.

So far, Today:

Weigh in: 140.8lbs (can't wait to reach the 130s!)

Morning: Chai tea
Lunch (haven't eaten it yet): 3 large bites of pomegranate seeds (lots of Vitamin C) + 2 bites of homemade tricolor bell pepper cornmeal savory cookies (found a recipe for cornmeal cookies, omitted the sugar, added pureed bell peppers which are super rich in Vitamin C)
Dinner: I will update, but I will put a plan here so I will stick to it: the rest of the pomegranate + however many more bell pepper cookies will fit into my 5 bites (I made the cookies suuuper small lol)

Today was the first time I ever opened a pomegranate. There are A LOT of seeds in there! I have to update my dinner. There is no way that I can eat the rest of that fruit and stay within 5 bites.

So din-din:
- 2 bites of pomegranate
- 3 bites of cornmeal savory cookies
- the multivitamin that I keep forgetting to take!

I'm thinking up more and more recipes. With the rest of the pomegranate, I may make poptarts tonight for tomorrow (found a bunch of interesting recipes). Or maybe I'll make some no added sugar cookies, make pomegranate jam, and use the jam to sandwich the cookies together Very Happy That would be nice! I haven't eaten a cookie sandwich in forever!

So yes, this evening will be a cooking evening

Possible TMI: Ate a couple of prunes to help with the lack of bowel movements.

I also baked a bunch of random stuff from the leftover savory dough and pomegranate seeds: crackers, thumbprint cookies, a poptart, and a mini galette. I know the crackers will taste awesome, not too sure about the other stuff that uses the cinnamon pomegranate jam I made Laughing I guess I'll see tomorrow when it's time to eat!

I also used some of the leftover jam to make overnight chia seed oatmeal (put the jam in a jar with oats, chia seeds, and water). I would have used almond milk or coconut milk (dairy milk gives me stomachaches), but I'm currently out. I may eat some for dinner tomorrow if I get back home before my eating window closes. If not, eating bites of the random stuff I baked tonight lol.

That's good that you come up with new stuff to make. Keeps from getting bored with the food. Moving along good. Smile
