Hi All,

I am starting a new challenge for All that wish to join in. let's see what we can do with 62 days July 1 - Aug 31.

I will post daily how much I have lost or gained.. eek.. hopeful for now gain No

I'm working on trying to stick to 40 bites

July 1st .. Canada Day over here!

As posted I am going to work on 60 bites a day to start. After one week I will drop it to 55 and so on week by week till I am on the 20 bites. Here I go! bounce  bounce  bounce  bounce  bounce

Day 3 N/A
Day 4 N/A
Day 5 197.5 - I have RA and Im in the end of a flair.. uuugh.. so swollen. I am sure I will have a good drop tomorrow  Very Happy

Day 10

Ok All, I do not need to do this challenge alone so I am just going to stop this challenge and post on my regular posting area. Shame I thought someone would be in.. I wish you all great success no matter what you do.

I'm up for finishing this with you. I tried once before and life's stresses got to me :/. I'm now at my all time highest weight! Sad
I'm planning on including a 5 bite breakast, along with 5 bites for lunch and dinner. Today's weight was 170 My goal is 130. I'm willing to do this until Aug 31 and I will post my meals and stats right here. So far I've had:
B- coffee with half and half
4-bites of cinnomon toaster strudel
I need accountability and encouragement. Thanks for posting this..the challenge makes it fun! Smile

Hi Debbie Smile If you have facebook, there is a great group called "5 bite diet warriors and more". They also have a challenge you can join right now. I join their 30 day challenge yesterday and everyone is so encouraging. Wanted to let you know about that one too. I'm already down 3 pounds in 1 day..super motivated! Hello Ladies! I was just reading about the challenge and would like to join starting tomorrow. I've been up and down in weight for months and want to try 5 biting again, having 5 bites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I will post my starting weight in the morning. This morning I weighed 169.2, will probably be more tomorrow because I stuffed myself today. I would love to be down to 145 by 08/31. So let's get it done!!!

Hi Misunderstood!! We are about the same weight. .welcome and excited for you to join us. We can all do this together and what has been a really big help for me is the facebook group that I mentioned in my above post they're really good for encouragement inspiring one another and weekly weigh ins for accountability. I'm so happy I found this diet It's really helping me lose weight at my age even though I'm going to be 49 this year and am having some hormone issues going on along with being on thyroid medication. Looking forward to you joining us and seeing your posts. Have a wonderful day looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow! :-)

Hi KellBell! I see that you are doing awesome! I knew that I would be up in weight today because of overindulging yesterday, but hopefully it's temporary. SW: 170.8. To achieve 145 by 8/31, I have to lose a little over 3lbs a week, a little over 0.5lb a day. Not impossible, so very hopeful. Next weigh-in will be on Monday 7/20, to put me on the schedule of weighing in every Monday until Monday 8/31. I will be posting my meals everyday, might incorporate a little exercise. Good luck to all of us! We can do this!

Hi I am JiffaCake, I did 5 bites in February and lost my excess weight in about 4 weeks (I didn't have much to lose, I can't remember now how much it was).
I now have 12 or so lb to be at my goal weight, I know again not much, but it went back on really fast. I am doing as I did before, the diet completely as described by Dr L in his book. When I have tried to modify it, it just didn't work out for me, for some reason I find it easier to stick to 5 bites than 50!
Last time I had a big loss in my first week (water and food weight I suppose) and then slowly slowly, less than 2 lb per week, even though I rigidly did 5 bites twice a day, I think being lower in weight, closer to the goal makes it come off slow. Plus I am a little bit past my prime and maybe that contributes. No matter, I am happy enough, provided I stick to it.

I wish you all well and hope you can get to where you want to be by reducing portion sizes.

This is my 3rd day and I am excited to get past the first few days of a rumbling tummy and being a bit short tempered...

Hi JiffiCake... It was nice seeing that the diet has worked so well for you in the past. This is my 6th day and have lost 7 pounds so far I'm now at 163. I've been doing well eating wise but haven't dropped anything in a couple days. A little discouraged but sticking to it. Please update us with your progress. . The third day for me was the worst..I'm feeling lots better now. Good luck and thanks for joining in! Smile

Well today didn't go as planned, spent way too much time out of the house, which led me to eat more than planned. On the brighter side, I peeked at the scale this morning and lost 0.6lbs. I will happily take that because of going over yesterday. Plan to be way more disciplined and focused tomorrow. Let's keep going ladies!

Today marks a whole week for me and I weighed in at 162.2.
Been having coffee with 1 tbs half and half with 4 bites toaster strudel
1/3 cup lean crusine for lunch and dinner plus a tbs peanutbutter before bed..I'm going to try to cut out the peanutbutter this week and see how that goes... lost 8 pounds this week! Smile

Great loss this morning! Probably because of having only 5 bites yesterday, because I still didn't sleep that great last night either. My Monday weigh-in is tomorrow, already lost 3.4lbs, need only a few more ounces lost to reach this week's goal, even though it hasn't been a full week yet. Hope all of you who are still doing the challenge are doing great as well!
