Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
Aww thanks Phil. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he gets better.
I'm at back at square one too. Do you think you are going to keep doing the diet? Want to be diet partners? We kind of tried that a while back and it worked really well. I'm going to be starting again on monday so you can join me if you want. You can see in the above posts what the plan is.

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
Yes, well in the morning. We are all in different time zones so it is Sunday evening for me. But monday Morning its on. Actually now, I guess. I won't be eating any more today so technically the bootcamp started at lunch today. But I am beginning the 2 weeks tomorrow morning. It will be July 12th - 25th. 5 bites twice a day, lots of water, if I get hungry I will have coffee. I don't think I am going to weigh myself either. I don't want to self sabotage at all. Today I weighed 189, so that will be my starting weight for the 2 weeks. I will totally flip if I make it to 175 by the end of the two weeks.

How is everyone's strict two weeks going? I have been pretty good. Yesterday was perfect but today I went a few bites over but it was veggies. I'm still calling today a success.

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
That was a complete success! Good for you! I always find day 1 hard, because its so hard to get going...and my tough day is usually day 4 or 5, when the weekend hits. I'm hoping I can break that this weekend! I'm sure if we all check in every now and then, we'll all be able to do it.

Day 3
Yeah, I totally know what you mean. Today has been perfect so far and has been much easier but I am worried about the weekend. I will have to think of something so that we all dont lose focus.

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
Wow. I can't believe it's been 3 years since I have been on here. Where did the time go?
Way back when, this was an awesome support community.
I'm kind of doing that new year, new me thing.
Since last time on here I have tried some more diets. Nothing has worked. Hopefully portion control works as good as last time Unfortunately with the stress of school and working I have eaten way too many Oreos and Cheetos. I need to break the habit and drop some lbs. I'm looking forward to meeting the current members

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
Thanks for the "welcome back" guys
Dmac, hope I didn't bore you too much
So, day 1 back on went ok. I didnt actually stick to 5 bites.
lunch was about 8 bites of chicken Alfredo
dinner was a McChicken
I had a snack of some tostito chips and a calorie laden coffee
(Hey! hey! guess why I am still up?!)
So, all in all. Not a total bust, it wasn't the true 5 bite plan but it was way smaller portions than I usually eat.
I suppose I should say what my starting weight is....
Mmmm, maybe later. Feeling embarrassed atm.
I really need to get back in the routine of this but it worked before.
I was wondering,
to all of you on the fprum doing the 5BD, are any of you doing anything epic for the new years?
Like a challenge, or partnering up?
My old diet partner and I still keep in touch, but he isn't really active on here anymore
wishing all of you 5 biters a very happy new years and eve
Be safe, Don't drink and drive

Sorry I haven't been posting as much. I have decided to start a blog about my dieting. Hopefully as I am successful it will be motivating for everyone. As I do horribly it can be something to read to make you feel better about your diet![]()
I am going to journal about the diet every day to track my journey. If I stay on track I should be done at the end of the summer *fingers crossed*
I'll still check back here though to let everyone know about my progress and to comment on other's posts.
Happy Five biting every one
The Blogs URL is http://www.5bitestothin.blogspot.com/
So, is it super duper weird that I have no memory of this blog?
I don't even think it is still out in cyber space.
I have no idea what I wrote or what it looked like.
How is that?

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
I tried to find my blog and I can't.
I did find two other ones. One I started to talk about antique cameras and the other one was supposed to be a daily journal type blog called "The Daily Road".
Both were blank.
As you can see, I am a super blogger *she says sarcastically*
So... if anyone happens to come across a blog I wrote about the 5 BD, be a dear and let me know
this not remembering it, kind of weird.
Not that it holds the secret to life or anything, it probably is nothing amazing.
Besides we all know that the answer to life is 42.

Ooo
Herbgirl, What do you have in mind?
I was looking at a blog (suggested somewhere else in the forum) of a guy who does 5 bites for every meal and has been doing it for nearly a year!
Maybe something like that? Or is that to big?
Some people (like Matt from NoMeatAthlete) suggest doing a REALLY huge goal because you are more inclined to work hard to reach the unattainable.
At the same time, setting a goal that pretty much leaves you doomed to fail may not be a good idea.
Let me know what you think!
Right now my new years goals are:
1. Lose weight
2. Graduate
3. Get into grad school
4. Become a minimalist
5. Get another tattoo
6. Run a marathon
7. Try being a vegan
But looking at this list, I think I may be CRAZY!
I'd love some input!

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
I have many goals already set up on Stickk.com, for myself!
I don't do strict 10 bites every single day, but Ive lost weight every week scince I have started. you can see my average weight loss vs. average bites per day ect here http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2013/12/11-update-today-has-been-weeks-scince-i.html.
My idea is to maybe set the amount of bites/ exact amount of food we intend to take per day for a week and then challenge each other to reach it?
OR have a goal weight once a week and try to reach it???
We could all post and encourage each other?
YOu are welcome to start a challenge!

Re: Jenny's Daily Journal
Herbsgirl,
I would say you have! 47 lbs in 11 weeks! That's amazing!
I'd love to hear what some of your goals are
I like your idea for the challenge. I like setting bites. I don't know about you but my weight fluctuates a ton. I'd like to see it gradually go down overall and over time but if I pay too close attention to it, I lose my mind.
Going week by week is also a good idea.
Do you have a suggestion for the first week of January?
