Yep I am gonna finish strong I promise.. I have no desire to deviate being so close to the end, just 7 more days. I just hope I can lose a couple more lbs before it's over..

so my meals today:

B-nothing
L- 5 bites mcdouble
D- 5 bites chicken and stuffing

So we had to go school supply shopping today.. the kids start back to school this coming monday (yay! happy dance!) So I had mcd's while we were out and about.. I enjoyed every bite of that mcdouble lol course I didn't finish the whole thing but it was still yummy. So I enjoyed eating away from home and wasn't tempted to over eat at all. So saturday was a success Smile

ok here is my question.. my 20 days is up a week from today.. I weigh in saturday the 25th.. so is that my final weigh in or is sunday?? I'm confused on that lol

hmmm.. I think it is the day before?? funny.. really one day wont make a diff..

You did so well with McD.. I miss burgers.. arrg.. but hey, like you I love shepherds pie.. so I am making a large tray of it for me to eat off of.. My daughter does not go back till the 4 of September.. a full 2.5 months off.. wow.. so long.. they need to go back and rework that.. lol

Day 04= (1.8 )=03.4lbs loss current weight: 141.4 (I'm psyched! 130's here I come!)
Day 05= (0.6)=04.0lbs loss current weight: 140.8 (yay!)
Day 06= (0.6)=04.6lbs loss current weight: 140.2 (hopefully tomorrow I see the 130's)
Day 07= (1.0)=05.6lbs loss current weight: 139.2 (I'm soooo psyched!!!)
Day 08= (+.8 )=04.8lbs loss current weight: 140.0 (hmmm too much hiking??)

Thanks ElleBella! Yeah eating out can be a challenge for sure, especially when all my kids had fries and burgers etc, smelled so good but the 5 bites of the mcdouble was very satisfying. Just 6 more days to go, woo hoo!

I like the chicken sandwich less the bun.. so filling those 5 bites and with each bite a put a frie on my fork so I can at least have a few.. lol You are almost there girl.. keep going.. I am on day 2 and its going ok so fare!!!

Spryng,

I wanted to add - again - that there's no need to be discouraged (if you are). It's so much harder to lose weight when you are losing the last bits of it. I wish so much that our bodies would do exactly what we tell them, but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work that way.

But let's get real for a moment here: YOU WEIGH 138 POUNDS. You've lost 6. 8 pounds! That is extraordinary!!! Your focus has been amazing in the past 2 weeks. I think your success on your 20 day challenge is already there.

Thank you so much for saying that! Yeah I do forget how much your body slows as you near closer to a set point or to your goal.. and I'm at both actually.. 135 is a set point for me as I was that weight for many years before I balooned up again so it's hard for me to get under 135 and then of course once I get below that its fuzzy because I went from 102 lbs to 135-140 when I was 18 and never got back down really, up and down.. I think I hit 129 for ONE day so I can barely remember it many moons ago so once I get under 135 it's new territory for me so I'm excited. I know once these 20 days are over my journey is definitely NOT over.. I'll still have 15-18 lbs to lose so I plan on a few more 20 day challenges in the coming months Smile But this 20 days has taught me a lot about myself and how I can finish something I started. It feels really good.

Day 16 coming to an end...you ever have those days when you have a list a mile long to do either at home or at work at you just have that "I don't want to" feeling?? that was me today,lol Just kinda felt BLAH all day long, moving at a snails pace.. don't know what that is all about. But at least the work day is over.. dinner is over as we have football practice again tonight. So it will be rush rush rush once the kids get off the bus in a sec. So here are my meals today:

B-nothing
L- 5 bites beef soft taco
D- 5 bites black bean and tortilla casserole (amy's organic bowl frozen meal but yummy!)

So all in all a great 5 bite day.. on and forward! bounce

Ok after thinking about this ALL morning so far.. I can't help but be a little suprised on my 3rd week losses so far.. I expected the slow down in week two.. that make sense.. even contestants on the biggest loser struggle on week two but week 3 should be picking back up and the weightloss going forward again.. hmmmm.. not for me apparently... I'm not gonna hit my goal in 3 more days I can tell you that, unless by some miracle I get one of those WHOOSH losses any day now it's not gonna happen.. so this is my thoughts so far.. my original idea was to come back every other month or so and do a 20 day challenge until I hit my goal, using the NO S diet in between to keep my weight stable etc.. but if I'm only gonna lose the majority of that weight in the first 7 days I'm thinking maybe nix the future 20 day challenges and instead do a 7 day challenge every month.. how does that sound? then I can quickly shed 5 lbs.. maintain with the No S and lose another 5 lbs the following month etc.. right now these are just thoughts running through my head but I think 7 days each month is definitely doable because as I'm nearing the end of these 20 days it gets harder and harder each day as the scale is not showing how hard I'm working here, thats discouraging and not worth 20 days of torture. Ok it hasn't been torture but I do miss my breakfast after a few days and count down the minutes until lunch Smile So anyway, just rambling here but feel free to give me your 2 cents on this idea or if you have any other ideas, lets brainstorm together lol thanks!

I tried my hand at my very first alfredo tonight and it was YUM! I sauteed chicken, zuchini and summer squash to toss into the pasta and it was so creamy and good, the kids ate it up! You always know you made a winner when there is only one portion of leftovers and it was a big pot of pasta lol so I'll be making that again soon Smile

All in all a good day..

Yummmmmmmm ! I love it also.. I make a gluten free low carb one that is stellar. As for the 7 day challenge I am in.. all be it a bit different.. I will put my self on the wendie plan.. same as a calorie shifting plan.. you can lose 4lb+ a week with that.. so I am in with your plan.. Yay bounce

So two days to go and my body gives up another whole lb?? as you see from my pattern here the last 18 days that if I lose a lb over night my body takes some back the next day so tomorrow will let me know if that was a true lb loss or not, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Just 1.8 lbs to hit my goal! it seems doable now if that darn lb sticks and I get a couple more good losses Smile

I knew losing a whole lb was too good to be true.. honestly I'll be so happy when tomorrow comes and the challenge is over and mainly from weighing in daily.. I never ever weighed this much before so seeing those flucuations really get to me. Up down up down.. sigh.. I know that is normal body flucuations but I'd rather not seeing them staring me in the face every morning. So 1 more day to go, woo hoo! I must say I am soooo proud of myself for accomplishing this challenge. 20 days doesn't sound like very long but when you are IN them it's a real challenge! Not so much the hunger, no I'm not that hungry anymore and 5 bites definitely fill me up but it's the cravings and the snacks/breakfast that I miss every day. While at the football practice I see people eating snacks, even healthy ones like carrot sticks etc and I think.. that would be nice right now lol. So anyway, just gotta get through today then I'm home free. be back later to post my meals.

Debbie, I know the wendie plan works for tons of people (there are groups for it on 3fatchicks.com and many other forums) but it didn't for me because I didn't work it right.. I didn't like being told I had to use this many points this day and this many this day, I liked being able to use them how I pleased lol I'm still like that, I hate counting, tracking, weighing etc so anything to do with counting points, carbs or calories or fat grams etc, count me out.. I can't and won't do it, my mind will rebel right away lol so diets like this one and the NO S are the only two I've found the last few years that i can stick to without feeling confined lol.

I can not do point, cal or carbs either I try and in 3 days Im off plan. lol..so bad I am.. lol Shocked I wondered if it worked though.. thank you honey..

Sorry I wasn't able to get on and post this morning.. its been a crazy day of running errands and more football. But I'm home now so here is my official 20 day update.

20 day Challenge: started Monday Aug 6,2012

Day 01= (0.0)=00.0lbs loss current weight: 144.8 (Beginning weight)
Day 02= (0.0)=00.0lbs loss current weight: 144.8 (did not weigh as I wasn't sure I wanted to weigh daily)
Day 03= (1.6)=01.6lbs loss current weight: 143.2 (woo hoo! it's starting!)
Day 04= (1.8 )=03.4lbs loss current weight: 141.4 (I'm psyched! 130's here I come!)
Day 05= (0.6)=04.0lbs loss current weight: 140.8 (yay!)
Day 06= (0.6)=04.6lbs loss current weight: 140.2 (hopefully tomorrow I see the 130's)
Day 07= (1.0)=05.6lbs loss current weight: 139.2 (I'm soooo psyched!!!)
Day 08= (+.8 )=04.8lbs loss current weight: 140.0 (hmmm too much hiking??)
Day 09= (0.2)=05.0lbs loss current weight: 139.8 (not much to say about that)
Day 10= (0.0)=05.0lbs loss current weight: 139.8 (the scale is not my friend)
Day 11= (0.4)=05.4lbs loss current weight: 139.4 (finally going down gain)
Day 12= (1.2)=06.6lbs loss current weight: 138.2 (woo hoo!)
Day 13=(+1.0)=05.6lbs loss current weight:139.2 (I knew it was too good to be true)
Day 14= (0.6)=06.2lbs loss current weight:138.6 (back in the right direction)
Day 15= (0.6)=06.8lbs loss current weight: 138.0 (I'll take it)
Day 16= (0.2)=07.0lbs loss current weight: 137.8 (hmmmmm needed more..)
Day 17= (0.2)=07.2lbs loss current weight: 137.6 (definitely not gonna make my goal doing this)
Day 18= (1.0)=08.2lbs loss current weight: 136.6 (always leary of those whole lbs, will it stick??)
Day 19= (+.4)=07.8lbs loss current weight: 137.0 (I knew I'd pop back up some.. darn body!!!!)
Day 20= (+.2)=07.6lbs loss current weight: 137.2 (UGH!!!)

So disapointed that I went up another .2 lbs.. two gains in a row on these last two days of this challenge.. sucks.. but the good news is.. I'm DONE! woo hoo! So what did I learn these past 20 days.. first I learned that I can finish what I started and it feels amazing. Even though I didn't lose 10 lbs like I wanted I did stick to the diet and work it like planned. My hungerstat definitely reset and I plan on letting that guide me from now on. I also learned that to keep my body/portions/hungerstat in check Im gonna devote 7 full days a month to 100% 5 bites so I can continue to lose weight and get to my goal weight of 120 lbs. So I'm definitely not going anywhere on the forum as I'm deciding what week in september I'd like to do another 7 days and maybe some of you will join me Smile

So all in all it's been a great 20 days, I've enjoyed sharing it with you all and thank you for all your support and encouragement, it really did help me stay strong and accountable. I'm going back to the NO S diet now and I'm gonna really listen to my body and when I feel satisfied I'm gonna stop eating and hope to lose a couple more lbs before my next 5 bite challenge. So on and forward.. this is a journey afterall!!! Smile cheers
