Debbie, I think that's a great idea to ease up on the weighing. Weighing makes me crazy, I used to do it every day but now try for once a week. If we stick to the plan the results will follow. No stress! Very Happy Very Happy

This week, Monday-Sunday Feb. 11-17 I am going to skip breakfast, 7 bites lunch, 5 bites snack, 7 bites dinner, and my low carb cocktail. Then maybe the next week scale it back to 6,4,6 and the next week 5, 3, 5. Maybe this will help me break in a little easier and stay focused and persevere through this time. My failures have to do with my own short comings and character defects, not the diet, this diet is perfection! I'm with Annie "F" the food! Food is a dirty liar and I'm sick of allowing it to control me. Debbie, I can't thank you enough for your support! Challenger, you have been a stellar friend through my rough patch, too! Thank you, friends!

Ahhh, welcome back Snow White! Very happy to see you here. Please don't talk like you have 'character defects'... Losing weight is HARD. That's why we're all here! If it was easy, everyone would do it ;-) Sounds like you have a great plan there, keep checking in and letting us know how it's going! xxx

Today my goal is to do the original 5+5, I need this after my indulgences yesterday! It's going to be tough but I CAN DO THIS! YES! cheers

so I had a pretty difficult weekend Saturday I fell off the wagon for lunch got back on track did well all day sunday then Sunday night fell off the wagon again it's so much easier for you just stay on track but that's easier said than done today I'm focused back last Monday when I started this i was 204 today 198 so I went up from yesterday I'm still less than I was a week ago by 6lbs now I'm working on getting back in the groove
oh yeah and welcome back snow we missed you so much that's all have a great 5 bite week cheers

I have been in a lot of pain...I know gaining some of the weight back makes it worse. I have a vericose vein in my abdomen which shoots pain down the tops of my legs. It hurts really bad with extra weight. Being on my feet for most of the day doesn't help either. Then I come home and just want to medicate with food. I look terrible and my clothes are not fitting. I am very unhappy about all of this but I just can't seem to get my spark ignited again. I know I will, I just don't know when!

Oh honey.. sorry for your pain.. wishing you well with that.. Try eating 10 bites a meal.. then work your way down.. 30 bites a day will still help you lose.. just come back gradual.. xoxox

I'm sorry I missed your recent posts and haven't replied to your replies to my posts. (I'm just getting used to finding everyone and to how the posts appear every day and then locating which topic folder they're in )

I just want to chime in with some (I hope) encouraging words, dear One. I don't know what to say that will be helpful but I can share what is working for me when I'm feeling really discouraged:

I'll ask for help in prayer and watch for subtle (or not so subtle!) signs that offer something new to try, then if it feels right I just try it.

I'll watch those awful negative messages from my inner critic and when they start in on me I'll take pen and paper and write their messages down to get them out of my head.

That seems to clear my head for supportive thoughts to appear, like what good I've accomplished for myself and others today, and what I'm going to do different in order to experience a different outcome from what I'm experiencing now. I'll write these down, too.

I try not be attached to a preferred outcome by asking for "this or something better," allowing for failures as well as successes - and happy surprises!

Hey Snow White! Hey Debbie!

I'm still here (just about!). I'm sorry to have gone awol for so long. As I've just written on my thread I've had some medical issues to deal with which has been rather stressful and not in the least bit fun. Needless to say I have been comfort eating my way through the stress and have regained a couple of pounds, back to 139.2 this morning (sigh!).

Well I'm back on the wagon today, got a quiet few days ahead of me so I'm ready & raring!

Snow, looks like you're doing really well! Keep up the great work lady...

Debbie, how are things? Have you had your surgery yet??
