You can do this, Annna!
Do you think it'd help if you put off exercising for a week? I know it makes some people especially hungry. Unless you're like me and exercise helps you maintain your mood/sanity.

Thanks, actually exercising doesn't really make me hungry but the opposite. If I do feel my blood sugar dropping, I'll have a single bite of PB, or a bite of a cliff bar. and yep, I'm like you, exercise does help me maintain sanity :-)

Good for you Annna-glad to see you posting! Stressful days are gonna happen- and I am an emotional eater- but the through this process I am starting to lose value in eating as help. Food is starting not to hold the same appeal to me as it used to. Don't her me wrong- I will ALWAYS love it- but I know it won't help me feel better - in fact- it makes me feel worse! Thanks Tammy. I too am an emotional binge eater. I noticed this diet forces me to question why I'm stressed, and why I would like to eat. If its not time for 5 bites, then I can't so I have to face whats really going on. I'ts really helping I'm glad it's helping you too. good for you, I can hear the switch in your thinking. that's fantastic.

Thanks. Every meal that goes by I feel that much stronger. I am letting nothing deter me. Nothing. It helps to have people doing the same... We are way stronger than we think we are!

you are SO right! thanks for the encouragement. I don't know if this would help anybody... I have a daily desk calendar, I wrote a note on each day encouraging myself... today's was GREAT JOB day 3 stay strong ! it helps seeing it there all day.

Anna that is a great idea! We really have to encourage ourselves...esp those of us who are dieting incognito. And when we are feeling weak, this forum is a great place to find support before falling off or quitting.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad day, Annna. *hug* And I'm proud of you for not emotional binging (I'm like you and Tammy, where I compulsively over eat when I'm feeling emotional)! Eating a single Snickers is so much better than clearing out the entire fridge. One small step at a time. I hope things blow over with your ex soon so that you can start to really focus on the bright (and thin!) future ahead of you.

well, did really good until Sat. Night. then the stress got to me.
I had some chips. a burger and a cookie
Sunday I decided to give myself a free day. I didn't go nuts, but enjoyed a happy meal with a diet dr. pepper.
Friday my scale read no change, Sat it read a gain, Sunday the same.
I didn't do any exercises on saturday, trying to change things up a bit.
I also had court/divorce issues to deal with during the week and didn't work out Wed, Thurs. and a LOT of stress.
it was kind of dis heartning.. but I'm not giving up. my clothes are still fitting looser.
I decided to check my scale on Sunday evening. sure enough one of the batteries were loose, ( I had bumped it a couple of times last week) after fixing the battery, and re-weighing myself at night, after my free day..... it showed only a .2 difference (gain) from that morning... I KNEW that my previous days weigh in's had to be off. :-)
I got back on track yesterday as planned.
I had some chips. a burger and a cookie

Have u read through this forum yet? When stressed, starving or bored, come here and read. Scroll through to older post and just read. Read journals of how others failed and got back up. Read how they worked through life stresses while dieting. Just read and learn and stay positively busy while staying on track.

Thanks for the encouragement S123!! it really means a lot. that's really good advice, I'll read through this even if it's something I've already read. You're right, it does help to stay busy. I just read a little bit on the tips page... very helpful, want to learn more about digestion etc. Great Idea !!!

I've been doing some research on the science behind losing weight regarding the liver, sugars, etc.
It's really helped me today understand how the body works, burns liver sugar first. exercise doesn't need to be done. but I like it for the toning, and keeping my stress levels low. I can see now how this diet works from a science perspective and how the longer we can go fasting the better. I'm changing dinner time to much earlier. understanding this is going to help me a lot :-)
