EXPECTATIONS
Since I can't predict exactly much fat I'll lose each week, I can't tell how long it'll take me to lose all the weight. It could be 4, 6, or even 8 months (any longer than that and I'm wasting time). It all depends on my actions and my body's responses. I shouldn't be dragging out this diet b/c it "AIN'T" fun!!! Everyday is a struggle, torture even.

Although I don't expect to lose everyday, I do expect to lose fat EVERY week! I must get smaller from week to week, even if it's by 2.5 pounds. I should at the very LEAST, lose 10lbs every 4 weeks or else there's no point. I have 83.4lbs to lose.

I'm committed; til health will I part from this diet!

Day 13

Yesterday was a bust. The holidays are an emotional battlefield.

EXPERIMENT
Giving 5BD another go (in tweaked form).

No one knows better than me that the best diet is a sustainable diet. If I'm jumping off and on the wagon, I'm not going to sustain weight loss...I need to pick one way and stick with it long term. I don't know if 5BD is sustainable long term, so many are struggling to stay on plan...
I've revised it to suit my needs: 4bitesx4meals. There's an 80 bite weight loss plan, but that's too loose for me.

I think your plan sounds like a good idea--it's way less than most of the population eats anyways...

I think it is a great idea.. I have the app for the 80 bite diet.. I think it good for 2lb a week they say.. I do when I can a mod versions of 30 bites a day.. what every way I want it.. so go for what fits you.. you will do very well!! bounce bounce bounce

Day 14

I felt less anxious and "normal" yesterday, not like I was on a diet. My portions were still scanty yet having 2 additional meals helped ease the burden of depravity.

I'm giving my body time to adjust to the new way of eating so weigh in day is Sunday December 2nd and I expect to weigh at most 190lbs.

I'd like to see you weighing daily just so I can see your progress. I know some people get weirded out by the scale, but it really can be a motivational tool. Also, I am personally really curious if the 4 bites 4 times a day is working for you.

About what you said in an earlier post...I promise you your body will respond. That has never been a problem on this diet! The problem is obeying it and being in total submission to it. Jumping on and off of it prolongs the torture and I have become a master at this. I have really serious issues with food and toggle between compulsive overeating, and a mild form of bulimia, and this and other diets. I have started gaining back weight that I have lost and I really need to get a handle on this immediately. Like you said and like I have said in the past, you just need to be consistent and the weight loss will come.

Good luck on your journey and please think about what I said about posting your weight more often if not for yourself, but to help others remain motivated.

@Snow White: It got really hard on 5BD so I was willing to try anything else. I gained weight, but I'm still smaller than when I started. Eating 4 bites lends itself to overeating. I don't know if I'm strong enough to stick to 5BD, but I'll try. I'll try earnestly!

What was your starting weight? I like to keep a running total especially when I'm on GOOD streak...it helps keep me motivated.

L: yogurt, grapefruit & lettuce sandwich wrap
D: cabbage w/ fish, starchy veggie & 1/2 tangerine

I'm praying for restraint during dinner.
I'm going walking today to an appointment, maybe I'll burn some extra calories...
Tomorrow I will begin a modified "primal" way of eating (I'd give up dairy, grains & beans/legumes- except on special occasions)...I'll still be 5 biting of course.
