Hi all!

I'm a 5"4.5 female
Starting weight: 137
I'm pear shaped and I really want to get these thighs and hiney under control!!
My first mini goal for myself is to see the 120's
My ultimate goal is 115 lbs
I haven't been there in forever! We will see...

I can't believe I am on day three--I haven't even really been starving for my 5 bites which is a freakishly nice surprise. Then again I've been eating a 5B breakfast as well.
Went to chili's today with my family and maybe ate like 10 bites. I felt like that was pretty good though considering normally I would have eaten that whole lunch portion anyways.

11/15 137.0 (starting weight)
11/16 136.0
11/17 134.4

I'm really worried about hair loss though. I was reading someone else's concern about losing their hair on this diet and it really got me thinking...
Can anyone who reads this give me some input on that?
Thank you!!
Can't wait to step on the scale tomorrow.

Mrs.P's journal Empty DAY 4 11/18

Post  username Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:06 pm

11/18 134.4 Shocked

had my first little baby binge this evening on day 4.
grr.

it looked like this:
about 6 extra pepparonie slices
a couple of my husbands fries
2 bites of mac & cheese (my daughters)
1 bite of cookie

it was all psychological....not really because of a lot of physical hunger at all.

Hey Debbie,

Today was okay...
I was actually feeling kind of depressed and anxious today, so I eased up on the bites a little, but I def. didn't eat like I normally did before I started 5bd.
I'm wondering if it is PMS related? I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago Crying or Very sad so I'm still trying to figure my new cycle out. I'm hoping it is just strong PMS and nothing more...I've developed anxiety recently and they say that anxiety and depression usually go hand in hand?
I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

11/19/12 135.0 (so I'm up...probably indicative of luteal phase bloat, right?)

O my gosh, on the bright side sunny ...
I went shopping at Kohls today and I'm shocked what losing only 3ish pounds has done so far!! Don't mean to brag but I couldn't help but flaunt in the mirror for a looong time.
I really like eating like this!

You know what scares me though?? everything you read about starvation mode and all. I hate that the book costs so much--I would feel better reading the science behind it.
I just worry about messing with my hormones and binge eating and stuff... Neutral

So far...

11/16 136.0

that makes me feel encouraged What a Face
patience is key, right??!

I do feel I should document that I messed up after dinner and ate 6 oreo cookies (binge, much?!)
I shouldn't be too hard on myself though because I was out of my element (aka at my in-laws...lol)
My routines was a little wonkey today

The problem with this and every diet is that we always feel like we are bad cause we ate one more bite.. one more cal.. one more carb.. one more ect.. Oh my.. poor us for being so powered by it.. You are fine honey.. amazing that you can even fallow this.. Its soooooooooooooooo challenging .. Enjoy your day.. He says your metabolism will drop a bit but not enough to cause problems.. I am sure if this is your plan for good you will drop it fast and get back to eating what is the right portion for you! Some times I think 2lbs a week is better than 10lbs a week, but he assures all that its safe Very Happy

Cheers sweety!!!! bounce bounce bounce

B-nothing
L-snickers & a few fries (was at a football game with my family...I didn't plan on eating the extra few bites but I kept getting light headed when I would get up to scream/cheer... cheers )
D- half of a chick fil a salad (didn't count bites)

I just want to say this diet is working even though I rarely stick to just 5 bites. Normally I would have thought it would be only normal,right/natural to eat the whole dang salad. Now at least I actually ask myself the question: do I REALLY want more?? Smile

Hi, sorry I've been away and having truly been reading every ones post, however I agree this diet works even when you don't stick whole heartily to the 5 bites. What I did before that helped me lose the majority of my weight was stick to the calorie amount of two snickers since this is the basis of the diet. So I would eat right at 600 calories and I was losing very well, this way I'm not counting bites all the time and if I waned something I knew I had to stay with then the snickers range and it was easier for me to see it that way than bites. What works best for you is what you do and you are consistently losing weight. Keep up the good work.

One thing I read about lately was a few people doing 600 cal days and losing major weight fast.. in reality it the same as this diet..no counting bites though. I'm trying that now as I need breakfast..I just can not do it without it.. so take good care of you .. you are doing great.. I know you will make it happen.. sunny
