Re: Mrs.P's journal
Exercise can screw with your numbers on the scale. Your muscles can retain water with exercise which can cause the scale not to move. Drink extra water to help with this...you can drink up to 1 gallon a day. My plan is to get about 10 pounds under weight and then go full throttle on exercising and weight training.

Re: Mrs.P's journal
Thanks for the advice, snow. I'm going to try and drink more water today.
WI: 125.6
B: coffee and cream
L: 10 bites of grilled chicken salad
snack: 2 gummy vitamins, 5-6 walnuts, a cheese stick and 3 crackers
D: a small chocolate chip cookie (4 bites...I was baking them as little Christmas gifts for family...it was a great de-stressor; I should bake more often!)

Re: Mrs.P's journal
I did a lot of reading about weight stalls .. as we are all eating very low in calories we will stall as its around the same calories all the time.. 600 or so.. maybe have a cheat day to shock your system then drop really low in calories again .. calorie shifting is used often to shake up stalls?? Have a great day!

Re: Mrs.P's journal
You are doing a fantastic job. I exercised throughout my weight loss and it never caused issues with my losing the weight. There were a couple of times that I was stuck at a certain weight for a few days then all of a sudden 2 or more lbs would just be gone. Keep on doing what you are doing and you will see the scale budge.

Re: Mrs.P's journal
Well today is my one month 5B anniversary.
I've got to say I'm feeling a little burned out.
The scale said 126 this morning--I don't know if it is bloating or not, but I was upset.
I think I am scared my metabolism is ruined or something...
I didn't feel like 5 biting today, but I've learned portion control the last month so I did well despite a the road trip to see family
B: coffee w/ cream
L: about 4-5 nacho chips w/ chicken and cheese and beans on them
D: 3 bites of a hot & spicy chicken sandwich and a small handful of "white trash" (some peanut butter concoction snacky thing my grandma made)
despite all this I'll probably still gain tomorrow.
I don't want to look at the scale.
I feel like my metabolism is ruined for some reason--probably becasue I havent lost in like a week!
What do you guys think of 5biting (or close to it) and just not checking the scales for a week or two? I'm hoping when I do check again my weight will be down

Re: Mrs.P's journal
I wonder how someone on 5 bites can not lose.. its amazing to me..I looked on line for something simular and found many people saying they calorie shifting can fool your body into releasing weight.. try having a larger bite day.. like 10 breakfast..10 lunch and 10 dinner.. then the next day drop down to 5 lunch and 5 dinner.. maybe this will shift you back into the losing mode?? good luck!!

Re: Mrs.P's journal
I wonder if it might be water retention because of ovulation?
I weighed in at 126.0 this morning. Guess we will see...
I might try that 10 bites and then 5 bites if it doesn't go down soon
on the upside I also track my measurements and I've lost half a centimeter on my hips and half a centimeter on my thighs in the last couple of days, so that is at least something!
B: cup of coffee, 4 bites toast, most of an egg
L: I wasn't hungry, but my husband wanted to get a taco at the taqueria and my daughter loves their pancakes. I ordered a pancake plate for the two of us and ate...
3-4 pieces of pancake (no syrup)
1 slice of bacon
2-3 bites of egg
cup of coffee
D: will be a bowl of cereal
I feel like 5B has taught me a lot about portion control and snacking. I think I'm just going to take it easy for a bit because I feel that is where I am heading. I will stick to small breakfasts, lunches, dinners and no snacks. I have no idea if that is enough, but I doubt I will be taking in more than 1200 calories a day. We will see.... maybe when I have more motivation for the last 10 pounds I will 5B for a month and it will be gone!

I'm a 5"4.5 female

I'm pear shaped and I really want to get these thighs and hiney under control!!
My first mini goal for myself is to see the 120's
My ultimate goal is 115 lbs
I haven't been there in forever! We will see...
I can't believe I am on day three--I haven't even really been starving for my 5 bites which is a freakishly nice surprise. Then again I've been eating a 5B breakfast as well.
Went to chili's today with my family and maybe ate like 10 bites. I felt like that was pretty good though considering normally I would have eaten that whole lunch portion anyways.

I'm really worried about hair loss though. I was reading someone else's concern about losing their hair on this diet and it really got me thinking...
Can anyone who reads this give me some input on that?
Thank you!!
Can't wait to step on the scale tomorrow.
Sometimes instant hair loss can also cause of Hair loss.. Take vitaminD full diet everyday to stop this Hair Loss.. You need to consult a good dermatologist who have adequate experience in this sector... Just beware from quacks...
