Rules:
1. Keep to less than 20 bites - ideally 15 bites
2. Reduce my tea consumption (just milk no sugar) to 3 cups a day
3. Use my phone to count the number of bites and the time to chew (1 minute)
4.  If i miss a meal (usually breakfast) then i can carry the bites to the next meal (if im really hungry)
5.  I can have a cheat meal once a week - unlimited quantity and quality
6.  .... any other rule to enhance and enjoy the journey ....

7 - Update - i want to count the number of cheats i have in a month (05/12, 06/12)

UKCityGents Journal Empty Thank you for your support

Thank you for your support - its actually good to have some responsibility and accountability

Todays meal plan was so far.

Breakfast - Tea (without sugar but milk), 2 boiled eggs
Mid - Morning - Tea (without sugar but milk)
Lunchtime - Coffee  (with sugar and milk Twisted Evil )

Since i have cut out most sugar and fat and reduced portions - i had a really bad headache and was hungry hence the need for the coffee as a medical crutch (normally i would have had at least 3 or 4 coffees (with sugar and milk) - How do other people deal with the tea (without milk) - i know it has calories but no idea really

No idea what is for supper (perhaps another beanburger !!) - I might eat 4 portions of food and top up with herbsgirl tip of a teaspoon (or is it a tablespoon) of peanut butter

Supper was rice and chicken curry plus Tea (without sugar but milk)- (10 bites)
1 teaspoon of peanut butter (need to make sure i buy crunchy !!)

Eeekk just realised i didnt but bites down but i think its less than 20 bites

Breakfast - Tea (without sugar but milk)
Mid-morning - Tea (without sugar but milk)

I think i have to skip lunch as im going training tonight - so will have a 5 bite snack before and 5 snack after (well thats the plan anyways!)

Lunch - Tea (without sugar but milk)

1st Supper (before martial arts) - Tea (with milk), low carb tortilla and home made beanburger with rice and chilli sauce (5 bites) (again !!)

This time i used a teaspoon for the rice - seemed like a good idea at the time

2nd Supper (after martial arts) - Tea (with milk), low carb tortilla and home made beanburger with rice and chilli sauce (5 bites) (again !!)

Total bites: less than 20 - 11 bites in total

Hi and thanks claire1

herbyslife: i havent weighed myself - i weighed myself at the quacks(doctors) last week (tuesday) and i was 105kg. Im more interested in using my clothes and belt notches as a guideline

I will probably weigh myself every 2 weeks or so (if i remember)

Morning campers

Hope everyone is well

Today is the start of my weekend (I work from Sunday to Thursday) - its going to be interesting to see what happens to my food with meeting friends etc over weekend (I still have one cheat meal for the weekend - if i dont use it i can bank it for the next weekend)

Breakfast - Tea (without sugar but milk)
Mid-morning - Tea (without sugar but milk)
Supper - CHEAT MEAL (you really really dont want to know what i ate !!)

Cheat meal - I had a BIG cheat meal (500g T bone steak, veg, wedges, onion rings, breads, nachos, and a slice of carrot cake) probably in the region of 120-150 bites i reckon

Even if you cheat, you allow yourself to do it once a week, so it's ok. I think we all need to cheat from time to time in order to keep on going.
Have a great week-end!sunny sunny sunny

I allow myself more bites from time to time and as long as its not too many, I still seem to be losing!! Its good to mix things up, it helps boost weight loss See my blog post here about shifting your bite count

Thanks for that link herbsgirl.

I had a BIG cheat meal (500g T bone steak, veg, wedges, onion rings, breads, nachos, and a slice of carrot cake) probably in the region of 120-150 bites i reckon

Ive put a counter on the rules post to count the number of cheats i have in a month (max 4 allowed in a month) otherwise im pretty good

I have chicken and eggs next week as i want to reduce my carbs a bit and maybe allow myself 20 bites instead of 10/15

I should be organised as yourself with the weighing and counting of bites

The "Eat Slower" app has also been most helpful for me! Herb'sgirl told me about that one, too.
But it's like anything we are doing, you've got to just do it to make it work. Work your plan and you will succeed.
We all have cheat meals and breaks from this program. The important thing is to just keep on going! Arrow Arrow Arrow Arrow
