Weight 188.25
I lost 6.25 pounds last week!!!!
I lost my gain plus and additional 1.75 pounds!
b-nothing
l-4 bites bacon cheeseburger, 1 bite corn chips
d-4 bites chicken enchilada, 1 bite beef taco
nightcap
Notes: I did get on the elliptical yesterday for 30 minutes b/c I knew I had that weigh in and I was hoping for a little boost. Since I lost 6.25, I decided to get on the elliptical again today, this time for 40 minutes. Now I can't say that I'm going to keep this up, but I wholeheartedly plan to continue with the 5 bites until I can get all this weight off. If I could have just stayed strong and not cheated I would be closer to my goal. Restarting is sooooo hard and I don't want to experience that again. I just want to stick with it until I'm done. Repeat like a mantra!!!!!

Notes: I just discovered Coke Zero this week and it is yummy! I am also planning a cheat on Saturday for date night with my husband. I am thinking I may just fast that day for lunch and jump right back on the 5 bites on Sunday. My weigh in is on Monday. All of this makes me very nervous! I just don't think I can do the 5 bites on a date...but then again maybe I should think about trying to do it! : )

Re: Snow White's Journal
I LOVE Coke Zero! So tasty. As far as eating out, you could try 5 bite. The few times that I've stuck to 5 bites while eating out were memorable. The food tasted so much better, and the experience is more memorable just because I stuck to my plan. Filling up on low/no calorie drinks like iced tea or diet soda during the meal also helped me. But one cheat meal, followed by jumping right back on plan would be fine.

Notes: I averted temptation twice today! At different times during the day two of my former students came by with birthday treats. They did not give me a choice, they just gave me the treats. Both times I took the treats and then gave them to another teacher. One was a chocolate ice cream cup and the other was a slice of ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. I was very proud of myself. To be honest I really didn't even want either one. What I'm worried about is Saturday date night!

Notes: Well, date night didn't work out as planned so we just took the kids out for Mexican instead. I stuck with my 5 bites. I was REALLY pissed off that we didn't get to do our date night but I did not turn to food to cope with my feelings. I am learning a lot from this process. However, I strongly feel that marriage is work and people who don't work on it just let it fall apart and move on to the next thing. We never have time for each other without the kids around and something needs to change.

Re: Snow White's Journal
Great job avoiding those temptations! and not letting your feelings override your self control when your date night didn't happen, that is such great work! I know what you mean about making time for each other. I've been married for almost 14 years and we have 4 kids and my husband is only home on the weekends due to his job so we have to make the best of each weekend for sure, but its doable. We get a date night about once every couple of years, lol we usually get a weekend away on our anniversary and that is about it, lol but it still works for us, hope you two can reschedule soon!

I have been off plan for 3 days...I got really depressed after my Monday weigh in b/c I only lost a 1/2 pound. But I had maintained an over 6 pound loss from the week before plus losing an additional 1/2 pound. I just really got really down about it. I'll never make it to my goal off plan. So tomorrow, I will pull myself together and stop whining and get back on plan. I'm going with strictly protein to help curb my hunger. Keep me in your thoughts b/c I am really struggling right now.

Notes: I have really struggled this week. I did well with nothing for breakfast and 5 bites for lunch everyday. But when I got home from work, I snacked and then ate like a wild woman for dinner every night. So, I'm going to do two things to help myself. 1. I'm going to weigh myself once every two weeks instead of every week. I can't use a small loss over one week as an excuse to binge anymore. If I weigh every two weeks this will help me to see a bigger number and work at it longer than a week. 2. I'm going to make a sticker chart for myself so that I can visually see that I was on plan for b, l, & d each day. I have proven to myself that I can stick with this plan, I don't know why I have been so weak lately.

Notes: Finally! I made it through one day on plan! Now tomorrow will be easier and soon I will be on a roll again. My goal is to be at 180 by the end of the month. I'm off work this week for Spring break so I will have some time to de-stress a little bit. I really, really, really wanted to eat before dinner and was feeling light headed. But I remembered Dr. Lewis said that we must learn to overlook these symptoms that we need to eat, so I just had a glass of unsweet tea w/ Splenda instead and I made it to dinner. My dinner bites were big, but I had only 5 so I feel good about it. Tomorrow will be better!

Re: Snow White's Journal
You're doing great! It's so hard to not eat when you feel like eating. I have an easier time not eating when I'm hungry, but when I just "feel like" eating, its quite a battle of wills, lol.
