A_A Journal
k this was my first day, and i think i did a pretty good job.... (no snacking at all)
breakfast:
5 bites peanut butter and honey sandwich
1 cup water
lunch:
5 bites egg, ham sandwich
dinner:
2 bites of steamed cabbage
3 bites of ham inside pita
calcium and multivitamin
5 cups water
next steps:
should focus on drinking more water throughout the day
eat more fiber as i'm not eating that much fruits and veggies (wanna keep myself regular lol)
start exercising: 10min of yoga, 15 walking, some push ups (not really) and sit ups
Current Stats:
140 pounds
160cm
BMI of 24.8 (overweight)
Goals:
110 pounds
BMI of 19.5
i want to lose at least 3 pounds a week
deadline: May

i was a skinny kid until i moved to the states, thats when i discovered cici pizza lol
first year i gained ~10 pounds
...and i guess i started gaining from there and never really stopped.
all through grade school and high school, i wasn't too big, but i really lacked in confidence in my appearance.
I also have MAJOR sugar cravings....which are hard to control (especially during THAT time of the month...if you know what i mean)
now that i'm in university, i've gained some more weight.
breakfast:

You had a great first day! As far as the fiber... usually drinking coffee on an empty stomach keeps me pretty "regular" lol If your not a coffee drink tea is also a diuretic I think. Welcome!

That's not your "real" 5 bite day...DO IT RIGHT! GO GO GO!
I am not gonna sugar coat it...That day was not your first day...As I mentioned in in your introduction...Keep it simple..read the rules and do it right!
Look at what you ate...that's more than the ten bites. You didn't skip breakfast. You can drink as much water as you want. There's no limit on the water.
START RIGHT! DO IT RIGHT, Adios Adipose!!
Do it right the first three days and at least a week. You are just rationalizing here that you started this diet but you didn't do it the right way! As my friend and leader of another group mentioned...it is simple..JUST DO THE DIET in ACCORDING to the guidelines set by Br. Lewis in his book.
Go read the book or if you haven't gotten the book yet...Get it!
Others here will support you and give you the pep talk and say "It's good" and "Good job"...I am gonna be blunt because I see how close you are to your goals compared to some of us. THIRTY pounds!! That can be gone in at least 1 month or even 2 months! Trust me....I've already close to losing over 30 lbs if I corrected myself correctly on my "Learning days". Instead I delayed the weight loss on those learning days but they were learning days for me to know where and why I weakened.
YOU CAN DO THIS...and YOU CAN DO IT THE WAY Dr. Lewis states in the book!
NOW START THE DIET the right way on the first day!! and then the next day and then the next day...and you are on your journey and goals of what you want!!

My journey and hope you can learn from it

Read my journal and you will follow my progress. I have loss over 30 lbs now..I could have loss closer to 40-50 lb but I had my learning days...and that's ok...They helped me in my mindset and in my journey to what I am looking to become..THIN!!
This weight loss does happen fast...My first week I loss almost 10-13 lbs...then I got too comfortable and had a few learning days...Added 3-4 lbs back...I got comfortable with that weight loss...BUT no...I wanted more..I want to be thin and thinner!!
I got right back on and kept going..Loss that added weight I gained back and loss it and loss a few more along that...
So along this process and journey...I have had learning days...Those learning days helped...They did delay me in my goal but they also helped me analyze why I was sabotaging my success...Up until now, I didn't realize I was doing that. NOW....I am aware and won't let those issues come between my desire and goal to be THIN!!

A_A second day
breakfast:
nothing (im super proud as i can NEVER miss breakfast )
lunch:
5 bites of ham, egg filled pita
dinner:
1 huge bite of lettuce
2 bites of pasta with tomato and ham sauce
1 bite of bread roll
1 huge bite (4) mini-wheats
calcium, multivitamin
exercise:
15 min walking
5 min stretching
10 min squats/sit-ups/push-ups/lunges
i didnt feel well after not eating breakfast.
i was dizzy/light headed all throughout the day.
lunch tasted much better than usual.
pasta wasn't that appetizing, but i did want to eat more mini-wheats.
today my pants felt a lot less tight...1 more day to go

A_A third day
yesterday was my third day
i stepped on the scale and weighed 135pound!!!!! that's a 5 pound difference!
im so happy
breakfast:
water
lunch:
3 bites of salmon cream cheese sandwich
snack:
1 bite salmon
1 bite( 4) miniwheats
dinner:
5 bites dumpling with a bowl of soup

the day went pretty good. but i seriously messed up at night.
i had 4 more mini-wheats,
small handful of rice crackers
1 banana
4 pieces of mochi
exercise:
walked for 15 min

2 meals a day 5 bites each!!!!!

A_A sick
sorry havent updated in a really long time.
i was sick all last week so i coundnt follow 5bd.
i was basically living off halls, chicken noodles soup and medication.
im feeling better today, but will start again tom

A_A first day...again
i was sick for the past week, so im starting 5BD again.
good thing was during my "break" i didnt gain any weight
breakfast:
nothing
lunch:
4 bites ham, cheese grill cheese
1 bite mochi
dinner:
4 bites egg, cheese wrapped pita
1 bite mochi
although today was my "first" day i felt much better than my first "first" day.
i had no hunger pangs whatsoever.
but i was really thirsty and sleepy during the afternoon
i was craving for an apple after dinner, but i ignored it lol
today was a good day

Sorry guys, i've been missing in action for quite a while.
mainly due to stress from school and everything.
but i have decided to restart the 5BD after reading lyra's posts.
you are so encouraging, and it made me realize that i have to STICK with it in order to see some real results.
today i already had breakfast (banana bread, and 1 egg)
so i will start tomorrow.
my current stats:
160cm
135pounds
hope to be 110 pounds before school starts again
mainly due to stress from school and everything.
but i have decided to restart the 5BD after reading lyra's posts.
you are so encouraging, and it made me realize that i have to STICK with it in order to see some real results.

great job! keep going strong. remember if u eat more than you should it is going to take away from the progress and you will be on this diet one day longer than you should have been...
