Don't feel bad about not posting on the challenge thread, I don't mind coming here to check on ya Smile

what is a bento laptop container?? and yeah I think my bites are bigger than average... I know they are bigger than what dr lewis had in mind but it's not like a take big bites, I just take what is a normal bite for me but I can probably work on that. Use a smaller spoon or something.. maybe we need those baby spoons, LOL ok maybe that would be a bit much. Hang in there though, that scale will start moving again, your meals look great!

Bento lunchboxes are a way to add variety and portion control into your diet. Everything is in it's own little compartment. I like the idea of adding variety to the bites. You can only buy the lunchboxes online and they are kind of pricey, but I splurged.

So I gained .2 from that Mexican food...not too bad. I knew those bites were big and filled with sodium. But at least I stuck with the 5 bites while eating my trigger food. I'm going to drink some extra water today and possibly do an enema...I know TMI but I haven't gone to the bathroom in a week. Something else I know I need to do is to not mix my bites...like don't eat a bite of stew w/ a chip w/dip on top of it...that's cheating b/c I have a big mouth and this just makes my bites too big. When I went to bed last night I was still full and not hungry at all...If you feel empty you know you are losing a lot...and that is key at the end of the day.

Overall an average of 9.1 pounds lost in almost 2 weeks is really awesome and I'm just going to try to keep going!

Well, that sucked!!! I went to lunch today the best intentions of adding some salad/vegetables into my 5 bites...why I ordered soup I don't know. I ate a small side salad and a half a bowl of crab bisque for lunch, so I'm sure I will show a gain tomorrow. I was upset too that my weight stalled this morning so I may have lost my resolve partially because of that (no excuse). Clearly cheating twice a week isn't going to get me to my goal any time soon. Also, I am at a very tricky weight now for my body. I've had a lot of trouble breaking into the 170s before so this means I'm going to have to get into all out battle mode to blast my way out of the 180s! Soup is so low in calories are you sure you are off plan.. I am not so sure of that.. the loss is really 600 cals so if you ate just that a day you should loss the same I assume.. that is what I have to do.. lol.. I know you can keep this going.. you are soooooooooooooooooo close girl.. bounce Im with you all the way!!

Well, clearly going in the wrong direction here! I left my lunch at home and had to get the salad bar at school. I had a small salad and 5 bites for dinner. We will see what happens tomorrow on the scale. I am eating my lunch tomorrow b/c it is already packed, but I'm thinking of having vegetables for lunch and trying that for a while....like baby carrots w/hummus or broccoli w/ranch dip. Just realized this morning that I have gained and lost the same 10 pounds for the past 5 months straight...it was a very depressing day...something must be done! Seams like you have a really clever body... figures you out then slows you down.. maybe you should shake it up a bit like the zig zag method to see if you can fool your body into beleive it is not starving.. ??? clealy what you are eating is not many calories honey.. its your body not responding.. eat only low carb for a few days.. 20 net carbs , like induciton.. that can kick start it too.. You will find your way around this 10lb up down see saw.. I know it .. Very Happy .. try not to be so hard on yourself.. You are such a beautiful person honey.. flower

I agree, it doesn't take our bodies long to figure out what we are doing and rebel lol some people have those metabolisms where they can eat 1200 cals a day everday until they hit their goal and then there are people like us that sure, it works for a week, maybe even two weeks then comes to a snails pace or stalls all together. How do we fight it? by tricking our bodies lol we have to make it think we aren't dieting at all.. a couple days of strict dieting followed by a day of higher eating etc, we may lose a little slower but at least it will be consistant. Well I hope anyway, I'm trying that zig zag method right now so I'll be your guinea pig and see if it truly works for us with crazy metabolisms lol

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I don't know about the calorie cycling unless I went with less bites 5, 4, 3 or something like that...if I eat more than 5, I gain period! And then these "special events" kill me too. Like this Sunday we have a church picnic and hello I'm going to eat! Again on my cruise, hello I'm going to eat. I'm going to keep on going and lose as much as I can before the cruise, then when I get back I'll have to figure this out. Tomorrow I am eating vegetables for lunch...we'll see how that goes! : )))))))

I figured 2 small baby carrots was a bite, so I had a total of 4 small baby carrots, 2 small broccoli flowerettes, and 1 tablespoon of almonds all with the hummus & ranch dip and I left most of the dip behind...I had measured out 2 tablespoons of each. It went well and I felt fine until dinner.

bounce Girl you are knocking it out of the Park.. Gotta a idea for you.. Go on the Cruise.. eat 3 bites of anyting you want on your plate.. and 3 bites desert.. this way you will still only consume around 12 bites per meal.. it will give you the chance to enjoy your self without expanding your tummy.. maybe then going back to 5 bites won't be hard.. Yay for Cruises.. We are still Planning our Alaskan on Next Spring.. sooooooooooo exctited for you!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful sounding recipe.. Have a super day!!!

Well, at first glance this looks like a pretty good week, but I'm headed to a festival today and then the church picnic tomorrow...both big time triggers for me. You know if I hadn't been so naughty in the past I could actually enjoy these eating events without guilt...someday I will get there. I'm going to enjoy myself with the confidence that I now know how to fix it. I really won't be able to get full throttle until after this cruise and then I'm full speed ahead until Thanksgiving no excuses! I really think I will try the vegetables for lunch and dinner all week Mon.-Thurs. until we leave on Friday and see if that will help offset some of the damage I am doing.
