Haha yes! I've had two short days at work in a row and all I can think about is what I'm going to eat. What I wish I could eat. What I weigh. What I wish I will weigh. How long do I think it will take me to get to that weigh... and it prob doesn't help I've been watching any food program I could find on tv. Man vs Food is on right now and I can't decide if it's helping me stay strong by distracting me or just making the hunger worse!

oh the dreaded Food Porn! LOL yeah those shows, even when they are eating creepy things makes me hungry, LOL I tend to obsess over weightloss shows, biggest loser, super skinny vs super fat, fat chef.. sigh, but they do help me keep my eye on the prize, lol if they can do it so can I! LOL

Haha I love watching super supersized vs superskinny! I also love youtubing british documentaries on weight loss. There was one that was like the race to size zero that I was obsessed with! For a while I was even recording my weight in stones cause it seemed like such an innocent number when it was broken up like that.

I know what you 2 mean, obsessing on food and weight loss. I think it's necessary to stay focused, but I find when I get to the point of obsession I lose focus and screw up my eating plan. The supersized vs superskinny shows sound interesting. I don't like watching food shows or looking at food porn, it makes me hungry. I also hate when I can smell other people's food at work. When someone brings in Chinese food, it smells up the whole building and makes me crave it. Occasionally someone brings in a breakfast sandwich with bacon, that has a really strong smell too.

Today has been ROUGH.. I don't know if it's the lack of carbs or what but I'm so weak today and when I stand up I'm so dizzy... I'll be so glad when today is over and I'm able to eat carbs tomorrow. Tomorrow we are headed to Tulsa for the weekend and I don't plan on counting anything. I don't plan on going crazy either but I'm not counting so hopefully it doesn't set me back to much but I just want to enjoy a weekend away from home with family etc Smile

So today:

B-nothing
L- 5 bites scrambled egg with mayo
D- 5 bites scrambled egg with mayo

I'll be on bright and early to post this weeks weigh in, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's great since I put myself through all these eggs lol

Dmac, you would think I'd be burned out on eggs but I'm not, lol I really really love egg salad sandwiches so just having the scrambled egg with a dollop of mayo mixed in was really good to me and I could eat them constantly, lol This week I do plan on staying lower carb but not all eggs. But last week did show me how many carbs I was consuming each day, which was every meal for sure so this week I'm going to try to do one carby meal and one no carb meal if I can.
This weekend flew by. We had so much fun in Tulsa at the Aquarium and zoo and the hotel pool! I know I burned tons of calories from hours and hours of walking and swimming so hopefully any off plan eating I did was balanced out with the unintentional exercise. But yesterday I did really good, I don't know if it was because I was tired or what but I barely ate all day. I picked at each meal only eating a few bites and pushing it away. It just didn't appeal to me and I felt full really really fast. So that is good. But back to the grind today, felt nice to be back on plan for sure.

B-nothing
L- 5 bites bean burrito
D- 5 bites scrambled eggs with mayo

I can't believe I'm getting so close to being out of the 130's! Its starting to feel real and its exciting! Just a few more lbs now, I can do it!

Congratulations on the 3 pound loss! That is wonderful! Well I think I could commit to having the eggs for lunch everyday during the work week. I already made my lunch for tomorrow, so I'll shoot for Thurs. & Fri. egg lunches! I hate making lunch and that would take some of the drudgery out of making my lunch the night before. Did you put cheese in the eggs or just the mayo?

Nice loss! It's so exciting that you're approaching the 120's. Just curious, did you have more or less hunger while doing no-carb?

Definitely less hunger with no carb.. but then I've done 5 bites for so long I'm not hungry much when I eat all carbs a bite is a bite to me but I did feel a bit more satisfied on the eggs probably just from all the protein. The more protein I eat the longer that meals sticks with me.

snowwhite, in the eggs I just put mayo, no cheese.

So today went well :

B-nothing
L- 5 bites fage yogurt with honey
D- 5 bites chilli cheese dog casserole

All in all a good day! Smile

Okay, then I'm going to make my eggs for lunch for tomorrow in a minute. I will probably add some kind of cheese and have that for lunch on Thurs. and Fri. Please post the recipe for your chili cheese dog casserole!

The casserole is a quick/easy/cheap meal but the kids LOVE it and you can definitely embelish it with items you love on a chilli cheese dog like onions or even frito chips.. but it's basically a whole bag of hot dog buns torn into bite sized pieces and placed in a baking pan, then a whole pkg of hot dogs chopped into bite sized pieces layered over the top of the buns, then two cans of your favorite chilli on top of that, bake at 375 for 10 min, take out and smother in shredded cheese, pop back in until cheese is melted, easy as pie but for some reason making it as a casserole make you feel like you are eating so much more and the kids eat it much better than me just putting a hot dog with chilli on it in front of them. They are on spring break this week so I've been looking for quick-easy-cheap recipes lol

Its been so nice having the day off! Slept in (well until 7am anyway but that is sleeping in for me, lol) then got some much needed housework done for a couple hours, played some karoake with the kids then laundry and now just finished dinner and settling in with my Nook for the evening.. sigh.. love it! Smile There are times I wish I could just be a stay at home mom again but then I remember how much I missed working, maybe I just wish I could work part time instead of full time but that could never happen either, lol but I can dream!

So today:

B-nothing
L- 5 bites beef stew over rice
D- 5 bites fried fish filet

Tomorrow is my weigh in but I'm kinda worried, I've eyeballed the scale a couple times this week and it's showing a gain from last week. Not sure what it could be from but I'm praying it's gone by my official weigh in tomorrow but probably not likely. Do you think it's from putting carbs back into my diet? was the no carb loss an illusion and not fat?? Or was it from the hours and hours of walking last weekend that maybe caused my muscles to retain some fluids or something? I honestly don't know but we'll see the outcome tomorrow morning. I just hate going backwards for any reason at all espeically when I know I've been good.

Low carb works, so I would guess it was going from having no carbs at every meal to having carbs at every meal. Elle Macpherson was in last week's People magazine and she said she eats carbs at lunch with vegetables and then has protein only for dinner. I thought this sounds like a good plan b/c if you eat carbs for lunch then you have some time to work it off before you go to bed. She looks perfect and she is like 48 years old. Like you said also, water retention could also be at play. Another thing to think about is that for weeks that you have a big loss, the next week is about maintaining that loss and trying to lose a little more b/c it does take a little bit for your body to adjust to the loss. Good luck on your weigh in! Very Happy

I hope your weigh-in goes well. I know how frustrating it can be when the scale doesn't show a loss. But hang in there no matter what. We know the plan works.
