Re: Spryng into my journey with me
Your meals look really good! I think that if you stick to the plan 100% and excercise you could hit 129 As far as a reward you should go and do something fun that you normally wouldn't do. Go some place where you can create great memories and that will make the reward even more special. you have been working so hard at your goal-you deserve womething special and memorable (either that or go buy yourself some jewelry)

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
Thanks Jesabelle and snowwhite! I'm not big on massages or facials but the hour alone sounds wonderful when I have the kids 24/7 as my husband is only home on the weekends. I've been thinking about it and I'm thinking a new tattoo, LOL I thought about clothes etc but I won't be at goal at 129, my goal is 115 so I don't wanna buy a lot of clothes until I'm 5 lbs or so within my real goal (even though I still need to buy some size 8 jeans as mine are literally falling off and I don't have any size 8's in the house) so maybe a new tattoo would be an awesome reward.. I already have two, one on the back of my neck and one on the back of my right shoulder but I'm thinking a bigger one somewhere else.. hmmm.. gonna keep thinking about this for sure, it has me excited though! or maybe a weekend away! I'd love to go to the hard rock hotel/casino for my bday in tulsa.... two days with my hubby for my bday sounds wonderful! but then we are planning Vegas in april so maybe not, weekends away add up financially... hmmm.... again, what to do? LOL I'm gonna find some reward I cannot resist, LOL

I think a tattoo is a great reward if it was viewable for you it would be a personal reminder of your accomplishment

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
yeah so far none of my tats are viewable to myself, LOL I have to keep them in areas where I can cover them up for work if I ever have to go into an office but just knowing they are there makes me happy
So today:
B-nothing
L- 5 bites protein bar
D- 5 bites salsa chicken
One more day of training this week then I'm done, I'll be SO happy when tomorrow is over

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
Thanks so much! and yes that pesky double chin is out of here, yuck! LOL Also you can't see but that nasty back fat that hangs over our bras is gone too, that is my favorite part I think, LOL most people probably like their thinner face or slimmer midsection but I hated that back fat, LOL I have a little over 20 lbs to go until goal and I'm starting to get into unknown territory when it comes to what my body is going to look like. I was 135-140 for many many years and I can't remember what I looked like when I was 130 and under (since that was mostly pre-babies 13 years ago) so I'm psyched to see what my body might look like in 10 more lbs then 20 more lbs down, exciting!!! I'll post another before and after once I hit 40 lbs down

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
I totally get the back fat thing! That's one thing that I am glad to see go away I really have to find a before pic that I can post. It got to the point that I was so heavy and hated how I looked that I would not allow anyone to take my picture. I think that I might have one that my daughter took of me and my husband going to some function, but I will have to find it on his phone. I just remember his comment of both of us looking fat I love looking at your before and afters. they are as much a motivator as your journal. you are doing such a fantastic job and I'm sure that all your friends and family are extremely proud

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
yep they are proud but now I'm getting the, you need to stop losing weight, you are gonna get too skinny routine.. sigh.. they don't see me naked is all I can say, LMAO! I'm a size 8 now, medium top, that is amazing but that isn't where I want to be, I want to be a 4/6 size small top, so I'll keep going until I see 115 lbs or a size 4 with small tops, LOL they are just gonna have to stop encouraging me to quit already.
So I think I'm ready for some intense workouts.. Jillian Michael's whip me into swimsuit shape!!! I have the 30 day shred but only did it like twice a year or more ago but I'm ready to commit a full 30 days to it and see where I'm at, I'm even going to measure myself weekly and see how many inches she can shed off of me and maybe it will increase my weightloss each week as well So I'll post later my workout and meals for today etc

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
omg i know what you mean..... once i start getting small people say that to me too. But honestly, they dont know whats under the hood and this is the done and over with weight goal that you need to get to. you can do this!!!! ignore it!!! omg buying a size small and fitting into it and having it look great on you is an indescribable feeling
thats funny- i just got the 30 day shred from a friend and it didnt look toooo bad. I figured i would start adding in some workouts when im at 110 or so. tone and strengthen. Right now i just have to focus on getting the numbers down. Let us know how it goes for you as far as energy, appetite and all that.

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
You are exactly right Dmac! It will make me loose focus if I feed into their theories of weightloss and what weight is right for me.. they don't know. I'm gonna finish this MY way, just like I set out to do over 5 1/2 months ago
teaismyhappyplace, that is so cool that you just got that dvd as well! I'll keep you all updated daily on how it's going for me for sure
So today was a good monday! No more training, it was over last friday so back to normal work which is what I enjoy
B-nothing
L- 5 bites chicken pasta
D- 5 bites beef taquitos
And on my lunch break today I did my first 30 day shred workout.. it was a KILLER! I was gasping for breath and my legs were litterally shaking!! But it was good! Only 20 min long so it's totally worth it. For 10 days I do level 1, then I move to level 2, then 3 for a total of 30 days. She uses her 3-2-1 method, 3 min strength, 2 min cardio and 1 min abs and keeps alternating so it's makes it nice to keep changing things up and plus she says these intervals cause the quickest changes in our bodies so I'm trusting to be right, LOL I took my measurements as well so in a week I'll recheck and see if I've lost any inches which is my biggest goal... and also this may effect my weightloss, especially this week as my muscles retain fluid while repairing after each workout, but I know I'll be eating right so if I don't lose much or even possibly gain I'll know it's the workout and will settle down in a couple weeks but who knows, I may have a nice loss despite the workouts, we'll see I wonder how the biggest loser contestants avoid that muscle water retention after their hours and hours of working out.. hmmm... anyway, that was my day, I'll keep you all updated!

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
I am so sore!!!! Got up at 5am to do my 2nd day of the 30 day shred, I was already sore but after that workout I could barely go up and down my stairs, every step is excrutiating!!!! Been taking some tylenol so hopefully its taking the edge off.. I heard day 3 is the toughest and that is tomorrow so I'm a little scared, LOL But I am proud of myself for getting the workout done. It has made me much hungrier though... I was very hungry by lunch at 11am and then ravenous for dinner at 3pm so I ate early. I had one bite left of my dinner and I wanted to eat it soooo bad! took everything I had to throw it away, lol but I did!
B-nothing
L- 5 bites chicken pasta
D- 5 bites chicken tacos loaded with cheese, avocado and sour cream in corn tortillas
So on to tomorrow now!

Spryng-Take Ibuprofin when you are sore from working out. It is an anti-inflammatory and will help far more than Tylenol.

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
snow white, mexican is my husband's kryptonite too, LOL Mine is probably chinese or italian.. make me a decent spaghetti and I'm your friend for life, LOL!
B-nothing
L- 5 bites burrito
D- 5 bites lasagna hamburger helper (yep was lazy tonight, lol)
Well I am sooo sooo sooo sore, even ibuprophen isn't taking the edge off plus doing the 30 day shred is making me ravenous so I think I'm gonna slow it down. I just hurt all over and I at least need one rest day, I don't know how people do it 30 days in a row, aren't we suppose to let our muscles recover and not work out the same ones two days in a row? hmmmm, lol anyway, on and forward!

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
I've never seen the 30 day shred. I hope that it works out well for you. I called my gym and asked what the cost is for a trainer 3 xs a week for 1 hour is 600 and for 1/2 hr it's 400. WTH!!!!!That is crazy!!!! I will NEVER pay that much. You look really great in your photos. I can't imagine how perfect your figure will be after the 30 day shred

Re: Spryng into my journey with me
Well I peeked at the scale this morning just to see how the Shred has been treating me and I'm up over a lb!!! I know this is fluid retention in the muscles as they are repairing but seeing that scale go up drives me nuts... so here is my question, my soreness is less today so I could still do the 30 day shred today, but would you continue doing it with the scale going up or would you put it off until you hit goal? I'm so torn on this.. Everything I keep reading says exercise is for fitness and diet is for weightloss.. but eventually exercise has to aid in weightloss too right? So how long will I gain? This week? Maybe next week? then will it come back down quickly if I continue? what are your thoughts??
